About the Role

Cell has an opening for a full-time scientific editor. We are seeking passionate, mission-driven team players who love thinking broadly about science and want to make a positive impact. Candidates with experience in computational biology, AI/ML, genetics, genomics, clinical/translational, or cancer research are encouraged to apply. Strong candidates from all scientific disciplines covered by Cell's scope will be considered. This position is open to both entry-level editors (no editorial experience needed) and those with editorial experience.

Responsibilities:

Cell, launched in 1974, is the flagship journal of Cell Press. We publish exciting advances across molecular to clinical sciences within the life and biomedical sciences. Our editors engage with the scientific community to catalyze discovery and promote discourse. We provide valuable feedback to help scientists make their work clear, rigorous, and transparent, fostering trust and understanding. We believe science can positively impact the environment, health, and society, and we aim to support scientists worldwide.

Requirements:

  • PhD is required.
  • Experience and expertise in computational biology, AI/ML, genetics, genomics, clinical/translational, or cancer research are preferred.
