Overview
Our clients are seeking an experienced and discreet Estate / Household Manager to oversee three European residences and ensure consistent, high-level service across all properties. This is a hands-on managerial role requiring UHNW household experience or a background in luxury hospitality / yachting. The right candidate will be operationally minded, proactive, and able to anticipate needs while managing staff and logistics with professionalism and discretion. This is a remote role with travel to Milan, Ibiza, and London as required (property checks, openings / closings, staff training).
Duties
- Property Operations : Ensure all three residences are guest-ready at all times; oversee housekeeping, presentation standards, and seasonal property openings / closings
- Staff Management : Lead, train, and schedule household teams (housekeepers, seasonal staff, chefs, gardeners, maintenance contractors). Maintain SOPs and quality checks
- Maintenance & Projects : Plan and supervise repairs, upgrades, and preventative works. Liaise with contractors, obtain quotes, and track completion
- Logistics & Provisioning : Oversee inventories, grocery orders, and supplies. Coordinate chefs, menus, and guest entertaining as required
- Travel & Lifestyle Support : Organise packing / unpacking, wardrobe systems, and family essentials. Coordinate with the EA on movements, flights, and calendars
- Finance & Reporting : Manage budgets, invoices, service contracts, and monthly reporting to the principal
- Security & Risk Management : Monitor systems, propose improvements, and keep contingency plans in place
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as an Estate / Household Manager for UHNW families, luxury hotel executive, or yacht Purser / Chief Steward(ess)
- Senior leader in luxury 5-star hotels (Executive Housekeeper, Rooms Division Manager, Director of Guest Services, Head Butler, Assistant Hotel Manager)
- Highly organised, anticipatory, and detail-focused, with discretion and confidentiality at the core
- Hands-on leader able to train, delegate, and enforce standards
- Fluent in English & Italian (Spanish an advantage)
- Flexible, resourceful, and willing to travel regularly across Europe
Working Days / Hours : TBC
Salary : £85,000+ DOE
