A leading global manufacturer in modified materials seeks a Business Development professional to drive market expansion within the automotive sector in Spain and France. This remote position involves identifying new customers, managing sales processes, and maintaining client relationships. Candidates should possess minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in the polymer industry, an existing network within the automotive industry, and fluency in English and either French or Spanish. France or Spain (Home Office)
Our Client is a leading global manufacturer of modified materials and engineering plastics dedicated to the automotive industry. With a strong international footprint (production bases and R&D centers in Asia, North America, and a manufacturing plant in Poland), the company delivers advanced material solutions to major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers worldwide.
Business Development & Market Expansion : Act as a "Hunter" to identify and acquire new customers within the automotive supply chain (OEMs, Tier 1, Tier 2, and molders) in France and Spain. Seek opportunities for material applications using PP, PA, PC / ABS, and other modified polymer granules. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to develop effective sales strategies for the region.
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with purchasing, engineering, and project teams at assigned accounts. Visit customers regularly to understand their technical requirements, production needs, and project roadmaps.
Manage the full sales lifecycle: from initial enquiry, through sample delivery and validation (PPAP), to final quotation and Start of Production (SOP). Coordinate with internal R&D, QC, and Production teams to ensure product compliance with OEM specifications.
Prepare commercial proposals and negotiate contract terms (pricing, delivery, payment) in alignment with company strategy. Monitor raw material price fluctuations to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Develop accurate sales forecasts in the CRM system and report activities to the management board. Collaborate with HQ to shape the long‑term expansion strategy for Western Europe.
Experience : Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in the polymer industry (specifically compounding / modified plastics) applied in the automotive sector.
Network : Existing network of contacts within the automotive industry (Tier 1 / Tier 2 purchasing and engineering departments) in France or Spain is highly preferred.
Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the automotive supply chain workflow (OEM → Tier 1 → Compounder) and approval processes (PPAP, IMDS).
Fluent English is mandatory (company corporate language). Native / Fluent French OR Spanish (depending on the target market) is required to build local relationships.
Self‑driven, proactive, result‑oriented, and capable of working independently in a Home Office environment. Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 50% of the time) within the region and occasionally to the HQ / Plant in Poland.
