Overview

QA Engineer role at RavenPack. RavenPack is developing the next generation of GenAI tools for finance, with 20 years of experience in big data analytics for financial services. The company serves hedge funds, banks, and asset managers, helping to enhance returns, reduce risk, and increase efficiency by integrating public information into models and workflows. A new suite of GenAI and SaaS services is being launched for financial professionals.

About the role

You are a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with an interest in the Cloud. You have designed and developed test strategies and test cases, and you have the technical skills to implement and maintain automated tests. You have a proven track record in software automation projects and the ability to understand complex software solutions. You have experience across all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, CI / CD pipeline design, integration testing, monitoring, and production support. Strong communication in English (written and verbal) is required. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. EU legal working status is required.

What you will do

Onboarding and early contributions :

• Participate in scrum ceremonies and review QA processes and tooling.

Initial months :

• Contribute to the existing test automation strategy and QA tasks. Propose new testing initiatives and strategies as you gain product understanding.

Six months and beyond :

• Develop comprehensive test automation suites, frameworks, validation jobs, and daily reports. Play a key role across development phases.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in test automation frameworks and testing back-end interfaces.
• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS).
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle : requirements gathering, test planning, integration testing, functional and regression testing, debugging, and production support.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting languages.
• Database knowledge : SQL and NoSQL.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis when defects occur.
• BSc / BA in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch and document-oriented or search databases.
• Familiar with creating microservices in the cloud (AWS).
• Knowledge of CI / CD orchestration tools.
• Understanding of performance testing and evaluation.
• Previous experience as a software developer or architect.
