BSI is seeking a qualified professional to conduct assessments of clients’ Management Systems, ensuring compliance with International Standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Occupational Risk Prevention, relevant certifications, and a strong background in management systems, particularly in occupational risk management. This role involves conducting assessments, preparing reports, and leading assessment teams, with a focus on fostering client relationships and maintaining high standards in Occupational Health and Safety.

Purpose of the Position
To carry out assessments of clients’ Management Systems to ensure they meet the requirements of International Standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other standards where competent, with a strong focus on occupational risk prevention (Prevención de Riesgos Laborales).
Location: Spain, field-based with frequent travel; main work locations Madrid and Barcelona
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Undertake management system assessments in accordance with BSI requirements, emphasizing occupational health and safety standards including ISO 45001.
Prepare detailed assessment reports and deliver findings to clients, ensuring clear understanding of assessment decisions and guidance on corrective actions, especially in occupational risk management.
Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, reporting in accordance with BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frames.
Lead assessment teams as required, ensuring team members are briefed to maintain high-quality service and effective working relationships with clients and within the team.
Establish and develop effective partnerships that secure commercial relationships, particularly with clients requiring expertise in occupational risk management.
To be successful in the role:
Lead Auditor Course (LAC) – 40 hours recognized.
Master’s Degree or equivalent certification in Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (Occupational Risk Prevention), such as a Master especializado en Riesgos Laborales, is essential for this role.
Certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 are required.
Other qualifications, such as an Engineering Degree or Health & Safety Master, will be evaluated as a plus.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in system management, preferably with direct exposure to occupational health and safety standards in sectors such as Construction, Electrical, or Mechanical.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
Willingness to travel frequently.
Demonstrated knowledge of how businesses operate to ensure appropriate interpretation of management system standards, with special attention to occupational risk management.
Excellent presentation skills, able to professionally and effectively present assessment findings, particularly on occupational health and safety topics.
