Formación

  • 3 años de experiencia en transacciones, preferiblemente en la industria automotriz.
  • Habilidades sólidas en redacción y negociación de contratos.

Your contribution :

Provide legal support and advice to the company on various legal matters for Clarios Spanish entities.

Ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Reports to the General Counsel EMEA with critical input from the Chief Legal Officer.

This position is located in Burgos, Spain.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including but not limited to, sales, procurement, human resources, finance, and marketing.
  • Manage specific customer relationships as Business Partner identified by the GC EMEA.
  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as supply agreements, distribution contracts, procurement contracts, and other contracts relevant to the automotive industry.
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide practical, business-savvy counseling to the businesses in all areas of commercial transactions.
  • Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation matters, including liaising with external counsel, preparing legal documents, and advising on strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
  • Support M&A and other corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and coordinating with external advisors.
  • Take the lead in updating forms, development of tools, playbooks, and processes.
  • Provide legal training to employees, as necessary, to promote a culture of compliance and legal awareness.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to the contract review process, including identifying, developing, and implementing best business practices.
  • Work collaboratively across regions with other members of the legal department, outside counsel and other non-traditional legal resources and take leadership on project implementation.
  • Provide other general legal and compliance support to the business in Spain at the direction of the General Counsel EMEA.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • A Law degree (University / State examination or equivalent); admission to practice law in Spain is a plus.
  • 3 years of transactional experience, preferably in the automotive / manufacturing industry or in a reputable law firm or a corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in commercial transactions and Spanish labor / employment law.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with management and other members of the legal team, with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Familiarity working within a matrix environment on behalf of multiple and diverse business functions and organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience managing outside counsel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, meet tight deadlines and make solid judgment calls under pressure.
  • Expertise in corporate law is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the working time.
