As Legal Counsel, you will be a key advisor for France and other Southern European markets, with a focus on French employment law. You will manage legal and compliance issues, provide timely risk assessments, and collaborate closely with leadership and People & Culture to ensure informed decision-making and effective risk management in a high-paced environment. This will include :

• Advise on the usual day to day matters that face our French and Southern European operational businesses with a particular emphasis on French employment law, including hiring, workplace policy, disputes, and terminations.
• Manage legal and compliance issues across France, Spain, and Italy.
• Develop or use a legal subject matter expertise across the Group, regardless of location, such as intellectual property or environmental law. This could be your skill and experience in handling employment law related issues.
• Collaborate with local leadership on operational legal matters and People & Culture more widely.
• Deliver timely legal risk assessments and commercially balanced solutions aligned with business goals.
• Work with colleagues across the Group when needed, wherever you can best add value.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We’re looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel with the ability to build strong relationships, influence people through convincing storytelling and collaborate effortlessly with the rest of the team. In addition to being fluent in English and French, we believe the right person has :

• A Master of Laws (LL.M.)
• 3+ years professional experience
• Experience from working at a top tier law firm
• Experience from working as an in-house legal counsel
• Strong background in advising on French operational matters including employment law, ideally both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Ability to be detail oriented and make pragmatic decisions in stressful and high pressure situations
