Job Description :

Lead the development, compliance, training, problem solving, best practices, and technical support in Sanitation across all European Schreiber plants and joint ventures outside Europe. Collaborate with Operations, Plant Leaders, Engineering, Enterprise Quality and Food Safety teams, chemical suppliers, and contractors to ensure equipment, processes, and plant environments are properly designed, maintained, and effectively cleaned for food safety. The role requires significant field presence and a proactive approach to engaging with plant materials.

Role & Responsibilities :

  1. Support the development and implementation of sanitation QSPs (Quality System Procedures) and assist in creating plant SSOPs, CIP Neptune, and sanitation audit documentation.
  2. Participate in sanitation programs and group training sessions for plant sanitarians and partners.
  3. Work with Engineering and vendors to ensure new or modified equipment meets sanitary and regulatory standards before purchase and installation. Support Neptune validation and SSOP definition during new equipment start-ups.
  4. Review sanitation audit data, pathogen environmental monitoring, pre-op inspections, MSS site audits, and customer complaints to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  5. Utilize KPIs and MSS metrics to prevent issues affecting product quality and safety. Investigate sanitation problems leading to contamination, shelf-life reduction, or customer complaints, and determine root causes and corrective actions.
  6. Collaborate with sanitation chemical vendors to optimize costs and technical support, and lead related projects.
  7. Participate in internal sanitation audits and address deficiencies using the EQMS database.
  8. Support the implementation of PEM, construction plans, high-care proposals, Capex projects, and microbiology indicators, including training on food safety and Zone 1 protocols.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in food plant manufacturing (Maintenance, Production, or Quality)
  • Mid-level leadership skills with strong communication abilities
  • Technical knowledge of sanitation, cleaning chemicals, and sanitary equipment design
  • Basic understanding of microbiology and food science
  • Proficient in audit procedures
  • Organized with good prioritization skills
  • Experience with process excellence tools is preferred

Additional Requirements :

Availability to travel up to 50% annually.
