Reporting to Head of Contract Management, the selected person will be assigned to an important Oil&Gas Project in Algeria (EPC project) acting TR as the main contractor. As Contract Manager these are the main responsabilities :

  • Managing the contracts responsibilities and functions in project from inception through completion. Functional scope includes development of the project contracts strategy, administration of the prime contract and change orders and claims. Ensure that company fulfils all obligations associate with the terms & conditions of the contracts.
  • Typically assigned to high risk, EPC contracts or projects of considerable technical and commercial complexity, organizationally reports to the Project Manager and functionally to the Head of Contract Management Department.
  • Provide prime contract change orders and claims (including counter claims) management and support to project team preparing and negotiating change orders and / or claims as required. Report performance data to the Corporate Contract Management Department to be used in improving contracts management tools, upgrading the skills of Contract Management personnel and improving workshops.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of systems and resources necessary to fulfill prime contract management functions.
Experience and profile required for the position
  • Scope or work and availability : assigment in Head Office (engineering phase of the project) in Madrid until middle of 2026 with mobilization to Construction Site for a period of around 2 years until completion of the project (expatriated conditions at Site, probabily with a local Algerian Labour Contract)
  • Broad knowledge of contracts management and claims. Extensive experience (minimun 10 years) and knowledge of commercial management functions and work experience of a progressively responsible nature. Extensive knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls and Construction work processes.
  • Degree in Business, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, Construction Management or Cost Engineering desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills (English and desirably French), analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and a focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrate teamwork capabilities suitable for working effectively in a matrix organization with a diversity workforce comprised of many nationalities and backgrounds.
