Overview

Electrical Commissioning Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Commissioning Lead to oversee the testing, start-up, and handover of electrical systems in combined cycle power plants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EPC projects, commissioning power plants, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive electrical commissioning plans in alignment with project technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project control staff to manage testing schedules and progress.
• Evaluate and validate FAT / SAT protocols to ensure compliance with IEC / IEEE standards and client specifications.
• Manage the energization of electrical systems and supervise medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical commissioning of power generation plants, preferably combined cycle with gas and steam turbines.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent technical writing and speaking skills.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E standards.
• Expertise in protection and control systems, relays, SCADA / DCS, high-voltage testing, insulation, and grounding systems.
