Mantell Associates are proudly partnered with a leading CDMO in their search for a Director of Operations to join their senior leadership team.

Director of Operations - Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the senior leadership team to define operational strategy and direction
• Oversee operations within the organisation
• Contribute towards building a high performing GMP team with a culture of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
• Lead the function ensuring that appropriate scientific, regulatory, and quality standards are followed across manufacturing facility design, construction, and validation, GMP operation system establishment
• Oversee the preparation and management of complex GMP manufacturing facility development plans, budgets, and long-range planning
• Provide scientific guidance and oversight while factoring in technical, regulatory, and intellectual property considerations and risk assessment
• Play a key role in directing future growth and success of the organisation

Director of Operations - Requirements:

• Bsc. in Biology or related Life Science discipline, Msc. or PhD preferred, MBA also desirable
• Strong experience in product/process development and/or commercial manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles
• Leadership and managerial experience with a team of CMC development scientists and/or engineers (process chemists, analytical chemists, formulation scientists, technical operations), leading cross-functional projects, planning and delivering results within project deadlines
• Previous participation in portfolio decision-making
• Brings extensive industry experience and established network within industry
• Skilled in working collaboratively with Senior Management teams, as well as Partners and other key decision makers within the industry
