A leading EPC contractor in Spain is seeking a Steel Structure Construction Lead to oversee and coordinate the fabrication and erection of steel structures for offshore projects. You will supervise production, ensure compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards, and coordinate various teams. Formación

  • Experience in production supervision in shipyards, shipbuilding, or offshore projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in block subdivision, fabrication, and assembly of large metal structures.

At Catenon, we are supporting a leading EPC contractor in their search for a Steel Structure Construction Lead with a technical background to oversee and coordinate the fabrication and erection of steel structures for offshore projects. This role ensures compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, deadlines, and applicable safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the fabrication and assembly of steel blocks according to engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Coordinate and organize the work of in-house personnel and / or subcontractors assigned to the structures area.
  • Monitor construction progress, verifying performance, productivity, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, as well as internal company procedures and regulations applicable to the offshore / naval sector.
  • Control the proper use of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with engineering, planning, quality, and safety teams to resolve issues.
  • Issue periodic reports on progress, issues, and needs within the area. Contribute to the continuous improvement of steel structure manufacturing and assembly processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (Technical or Master's) in Naval, Civil, Mechanical, or related fields.
  • Experience in production supervision in shipyards, shipbuilding, or offshore projects, preferably involving steel structures.
  • Demonstrable experience in block subdivision, fabrication, and assembly of large metal structures.
  • Familiarity with structural steel fabrication, assembly, and welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety regulations in shipbuilding / offshore construction.
  • Technical English.

Preferred qualifications
