Our client is seeking an experienced Project Buyer for their office in Madrid. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a highly international environment with significant development possibilities within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) area.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Managing and leading the full SCM scope for customer projects, ensuring adherence to budget and time schedules.
• Acting as the primary owner for the entire procurement scope from an escalation and problem-solving perspective.
• Coordinating, negotiating, and administering procurement proposals, bids, and contracts with a diverse range of suppliers and contractors.
• Collecting and analyzing technical, financial, and legal information to prepare robust contract and bid documents.
• Liaising effectively with internal technical, finance, and legal teams on all matters requiring review and approval.
• Documenting performance agreements and monitoring vendor / supplier performance to ensure compliance and quality.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have :

• A degree in Technical Engineering or an equivalent higher technical qualification, preferably in electrical installations or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SCM, specifically within a project-based environment.
• Proven experience in contract management, particularly with subcontractors.
• Languages: A high professional level of both English and Spanish is mandatory. Proficiency in French will be considered a strong advantage.
