The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and strategically minded Business Development Manager with a strong network in the travel industry including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) Travel Agencies Car Rental Companies and Cruise Lines. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with excellent relationship-building skills and deep expertise in the payments ecosystem to drive global growth. As a key driver in our team you will collaborate closely with internal sales product and payments operations leveraging your network to identify new business opportunities and promote Worldlines innovative payment solutions such as acquiring e-commerce and Virtual Credit Card (VCC) issuing. You will represent Worldline at industry events foster strategic partnerships and expand our footprint across the travel sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to grow Worldlines presence in the travel industry
  • Leverage your existing network within OTAs travel agencies car rental companies and cruise lines to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Promote and sell Worldlines payments solutions including acquiring e-commerce and VCC issuance to key stakeholders in the travel industry
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales product management and payment operations to tailor solutions to client needs
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with strategic partners to enhance market penetration and growth
  • Stay updated on industry trends competitive landscape and regulatory changes within both the travel and payments sectors
  • Represent Worldline at conferences industry events and networking functions to increase brand visibility and build partnerships
  • Travel as needed across Europe and beyond to support clients and attend industry functions
Who Are We Looking For
  • Proven success in business development sales or partnership management within the travel industry
  • Established network of decision-makers in OTAs travel agencies car rental and cruise sectors
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem especially in e-commerce card-present transactions acquiring and VCC issuance
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage B2B negotiations effectively
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional EU languages are a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset self-motivated results-oriented with a strategic vision
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Europe and internationally as necessary
