Formación

• 2-4 years of proven experience with Spanish GAAP.

The restaurant group was founded in 2017 in Sweden and has since grown, expanding across quality food and beverages, hospitality, and spaces. The group currently operates one restaurant in Marbella and is opening a second location in Madrid as part of ongoing expansion in Spain. Accounting for the Spanish entities will be brought in-house to enhance control, quality, and reporting efficiency. The Accountant will establish robust local accounting routines in Spain and serve as the link to the head office in Sweden to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Exciting Future Growth

• Basta is expanding to 18 locations in Sweden by 2030.
• Florentine is continuing international expansion, including Madrid, the Middle East, Oslo, and beyond.
• Trattoria Giorgo's, a new multi-unit Italian concept, launches in 2025.
• Villa Valentina, a modern Spanish tapas restaurant, to open in Stockholm by spring 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping in compliance with Spanish GAAP
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns to the Spanish tax authorities (monthly and quarterly)
• Monthly reporting to the Swedish head office in accordance with internal guidelines
• Preparation of annual financial statements and support to auditors at year-end
• Various administrative and finance-related tasks as required
• Preparation of payment files and oversight of approval workflows in Bazaro

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2–4 years of proven experience with Spanish GAAP
• Good understanding of Spanish tax and VAT regulations
• Fluent in English, minimum level B2 (CEFR)
• Proficient in accounting systems and digital invoice approval workflows
• Experience in multinational financial environments and reporting is an advantage
