Evotec is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented S VP Head of Commercial Operations to setup and lead the development and optimization of commercial processes tools, analyses and support systems to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency and customer-centric execution and overall commercial performance. This pivotal role will focus on improving sales effectiveness, streamlining business processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the commercial organization. The role will include oversight of proposal management, CRM and sales process optimization, and pipeline insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in commercial strategy, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to drive impactful change and deliver value to both internal stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and oversee a unified global proposal process across all Evotec sites, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Implement and manage key commercial tools to streamline the sales process and drive effective execution.
  • Guarantee that customers consistently receive exceptional service from Evotec.
  • Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure commercial targets are met, including proposal turnaround times.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to operationalize go-to-market strategies. Act as the primary liaison between legal and other commercial teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
Qualifications:
  • Operational Background in Pharma, Biotech, or CRO Industries: Extensive experience in senior executive roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or contract research organization (CRO) sectors, with a strong understanding of operational challenges and strategic priorities.
  • Project & Commercial Management Experience: Proven ability to manage complex projects, optimize commercial processes, and lead proposal development, CRM systems, and sales operations.
  • Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams, driving strategic alignment, and ensuring effective execution across departments.
  • Customer & KPI Focus: Demonstrated ability to deliver premium customer service while driving commercial performance through optimization of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Legal & Communication Skills: Expertise in navigating legal and regulatory landscapes within commercial operations, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.
