Job summary
A technology company is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to develop and maintain framework components for their application platform. The ideal candidate will have several years of software development experience and expertise in technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Jakarta Enterprise. This role offers a permanent employment contract, flexible working hours, and a competitive salary. Fluent German and good English skills are required for effective communication with teams. - Ensure and improve product installability, portability, scalability, and servicability.
- Deliver application components for monitoring backend services.
- Maintain and develop framework components.
- Perform software design and architecture reviews.
- Work with local and international product teams.
- Provide 3rd level support for customer problems.
- Ensure regular status and progress reporting.
Skills
Education
Location: Trier or 100% remote in Germany.
- Develop and maintain framework components and functionalities for our 3-tier application platform.
- Ensure and constantly improve installability, portability, scalability, and servicability of our products.
- Deliver reusable application components that help the organization to monitor and control our backend services.
- Maintain and further develop framework components such as Application Server Framework, Kubernetes Framework, etc.
- Perform software design and architecture reviews to evaluate and iterate designs.
- Work with both local and international product teams.
- 3rd level support on complex customer problems.
- Ensure regular reporting regarding status and progress.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent education and experience.
- Several years of experience as a software developer.
- Very strong knowledge in at least 3 of the following technologies: Jakarta Enterprise, Kubernetes, Docker, Java SE, Go, JBoss Wildfly, Oracle SQL, PL / SQL, Networking, Infrastructure, Prometheus, JMeter, Grafana, Dynatrace.
- Enthusiasm for modern technologies.
- Experience in software design, planning, and concept creation.
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and very good English skills.
