Vortex Companies is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Human Resource Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in Salina, KS. This crucial role will assist in the efficient operation of the HR department by providing administrative support, maintaining employee records, and helping with various HR processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and a passion for supporting our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of orientation materials and documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and maintain benefits-related records.
  • Help organize employee training sessions, and company events.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in human resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees and management.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

This is a full-time position with standard office hours, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime based on business needs.

There is no relocation package with this job. Candidate must live within 30 miles of Salina location.
