Scope of role

The Linear Motion Division is a major contributor to the Segment, with approximately 1,500 global associates and $400M in revenue. There are 9 main sites located across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, China, & Europe.

The Robotics Business Development Manager will primarily focus on developing and maintaining the Thomson brand sales and opportunity funnel in the robotics market. This position will be responsible for the implementation of a sales strategy to aggressively increase market participation and share of the Thomson products in the collaborative robot space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement vertical market industry-specific sales strategies and sales plans to achieve set revenue goals
  • Implement account penetration and expansion opportunities and action plans on strategic customers that have high value potential for Thomson robotic solutions
  • Build effective relationships with customers, internal sellers and distributors across vertical markets, positioning Thomson 7th Axis and other linear products and services to deliver value to customers.
  • Qualify, build and manage the Thomson robotic solutions sales funnel effectively to close sales pursuits and achieve annual sales targets
  • Conduct sales demonstrations – both in-person and virtual - to showcase Thomson robotic solutions features and benefits.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned industry and Strategic accounts
  • Develop solutions with the Thomson New Product Development team to position Thomson Linear as the supplier of choice for customers
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with strategic customers in order to gain insights into their requirements and effectively convey voice of customer to the Product Management & Marketing teams.
  • Predict sales trends and accurately forecast monthly sales
  • Work closely with Product Management and Marketing teams to promote Thomson Robotics solutions and services.
  • Attend weekly / monthly cadence calls with the vertical market team and regional sellers and prioritize customer engagements.
  • Provide sales and technical support to strategic account managers, regional sellers, and distributors by addressing their inquiries and resolving issues

Maintain conduct in accordance with Regal Rexnord vision, mission, values, initiatives and company policies.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field preferredand / or combination of education and experience. An MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of 3 to 5 years or more in sales, preferably in industrial automation and / or collaborative robot space
  • Desirable sales and work experience includes familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, and industrial environments.
  • Demonstrable track record of attainment of sales growth objectives.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in German and English.
  • High level of personal initiative, energy and ownership of business results.
  • Strong computer skills – Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to travel 25% - 50% of the time domestically and internationally as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of 5 to 10 or more in sales, with experience in both channel management and direct OEM growth.
  • Work experience with collaborative robotics.
  • Account management experience in both Europe and Asia.
  • Fluent in German, English, and French.
