Project Manager, Creative Operations | MIK x Spotify Advertising

MIK in collaboration with Spotify Advertising is seeking a Freelance Project Manager to join our DE Creative Operations team on a fixed term 6 month contract . We work collaboratively with brands and agencies to inspire, create, and scale creativity with Spotify-first thinking. Our purpose is to build brand experiences that demonstrate the creative, cultural and contextual potential of Spotify that fans love. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in leading production with our top clients, optimizing workflows, and strategically partnering with our external production vendors.

The role will work closely with the Spotify Sales team to manage the day-to-day production of our largest brand partnerships, serving as the main point-of-contact for both internal teams and brand partners. The Creative Operations team oversees the production of all campaign assets (podcast, digital, video, audio, etc), ensuring a positive and seamless client experience from start to finish.

In this client-facing position, you’ll collaborate with internal and external production teams to translate ideas into high-quality content. You’ll provide internal stakeholders with tactical timelines and centralized production information while ensuring clients receive white-glove service throughout the process. This position requires a deep understanding of the production process across multiple mediums (with an emphasis on podcast ) and the ability to manage a high volume of weekly and monthly creative output.

This is a dynamic role within Spotify's fast-paced, high-growth environment, offering a unique opportunity to strategically support our evolving advertising business and drive significant impact. This role reports to the EMEA Lead on the Creative Operations team, part of Spotify's Business Operations team, which spearheads strategy, operations, and creative production for Spotify Advertising.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide clients with a white glove experience throughout client production experience, by leading campaign kick-off calls, managing client communication, and making sure they feel heard and fully informed while working with Spotify.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between client(s) and our internal teams for timely delivery of a high volume of podcast & music ads. Act as primary liaison between all parties — Expertly fielding any questions, concerns, creative ideas, and / or requests.
  • Translating client demands into briefings for the creation of host reads and other ad products involving hosts, while simultaneously educating clients about the possibilities and limitations of the ad products
  • Coordinate the production of complex campaigns by collaborating with internal and external podcast partners, internal sales / customer success managers, and cross-functional (XFN) teams.
  • Act as the key stakeholder for production materials including project timelines, internal and external reviews, and the delivery of assets.
  • Oversee campaign execution for premium DE O&L podcasts, ensuring quality control, timely delivery, and seamless collaboration with talent-sensitive partners.
  • Develop operational workflows that set the foundation for efficiency and scale.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years experience in a client-facing, project management or branded production role, with a focus on high-volume creative output across Podcast shows.
  • Experience interfacing with high-caliber clients, translating their needs to creative and sales-focused teams.
  • Fluent German speaker with fluent English — essential to manage client and internal communications seamlessly.
  • Production or project management experience, with deep knowledge of the ad production process across multiple mediums, specialising in Podcast but understanding of streaming audio, digital experiences, and display .
  • Effective but diplomatic communication skills, with the ability to keep timelines on track through savvy problem solving and expert organizational skills.
  • Meet and manage deadlines in a casual but effective manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative culture, embracing change, and effectively implementing feedback.
  • Great attention to detail despite a high volume of work.
  • Proactive and savvy problem solver; adaptable and solutions oriented; ability to see projects through to the finish.
  • Interest or experience with implementation and utilization of automation within the creative space.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite products and project management software (Asana preferred).
