About the role :

We are seeking a talented and highly skilled Cloud and Data Engineer Consultant with a technical background to join our team. As a Consultant, you will provide expert guidance and technical support to our clients in leveraging cloud-based data and machine learning solutions, with a focus on AWS, GCP, or Azure. The ideal candidate has a solid background in software development, knowledge of cloud solutions, and a passion for data and AI.

Responsibilities :

1. Consult with clients to understand their business objectives, data engineering, and machine learning requirements.
2. Design and develop cloud-based data and machine learning solutions using AWS, GCP, and/or Azure services and tools.
3. Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement machine learning models and data pipelines.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, data engineering, and AI.
6. Advise clients on strategic decisions and take ownership of implementing suggested solutions.

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

• Experience or interest in AI projects and cloud technologies.
• Project experience in designing complex cloud-based solutions, through internships or professional work.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Strong academic background in Business Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar.
• Ability to communicate and present analytical results convincingly to management.
• Interest or experience in the full data lifecycle: from cloud infrastructure, data engineering, analytics, visualization, to ML engineering and MLOps.
• Fluency in English and at least B2 level in German.

Desired Qualifications :

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Cloud provider certifications are advantageous.
• Understanding of database infrastructure, data models, and ETL processes.
• Kubernetes and/or Docker knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is beneficial.
• Interest in agile project management methodologies.
