The Programme Coordinator for this region will lead a team of at least two P2 staff members and one consultant.

Functional Competencies :

Recruitment Qualifications :
Education and Certification :
  • Master's degree or equivalent in public administration, law, human rights, gender equality, management, social sciences or other related areas is required.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A project / programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
Experience :
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level working on topics related to women, peace, and security, including displacement, conflict prevention, peacebuilding, inclusion and other related issues is required.
  • Experience managing complex and multi-component programme interventions, preferably related to women, peace and security is required.
  • Experience in grant‑making to civil society organizations is an asset.
  • Experience in coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development programmes and projects is an asset.
  • Experience leading and coaching staff in international settings is required.
Languages :
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Working knowledge of French or Spanish is required.
  • Working Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Russian or Spanish).
