AI & Data Scientist (f/m/d) for Multi‑Dimensional Commodity Management (MDCM) at Siemens, you play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of global supply‑chain performance. You design and scale a unified Data and Application framework that elevates transparency, unlocks advanced analytics, integrates cutting‑edge Artificial Intelligence, and increasingly incorporates Agentic‑AI capabilities. MDCM is Siemens’ strategic approach to transforming material and supplier management across three critical dimensions — multi‑tier, multi‑year, and multi‑region — turning complexity into orchestrated intelligence. Your work enables this strategy to become a scalable, global operating model that drives measurable productivity, strengthens sustainability, and builds long‑term resilience across our supply chain worldwide.As part of our team, you will have

You’ll create impact by

  • Build the AI & Data strategy for MDCM - Define, evolve, and execute the global AI & Data vision for end‑to‑end MDCM, aligned with SCM PD priorities and focused on measurable business impact. - Drive cross‑functional stakeholder alignment, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, structured, prioritized, and translated into execution‑ready concepts. - Integrate Agentic‑AI concepts into MDCM’s strategic roadmap, enabling autonomous, goal‑driven AI agents to support data processing, analytics, and decision workflows across multi‑tier, multi‑year, and multi‑region commodity management.
  • Establish infrastructure - Architect and operationalize data integration and AI‑driven data‑transformation processes to generate high‑quality insights that enable transparency, predictive analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making across the MDCM ecosystem. - Build the foundations for Agentic‑AI adoption, including scalable data pipelines, tool/API interfaces, and modular components that allow autonomous AI agents to interact reliably with MDCM systems. - Optimize integration with existing systems and applications, improving data consistency and end‑to‑end process reliability across pooling material data. - Ensure compliance with Siemens standards for data security, governance, and digitalization trends.
  • Provide application support - Create training material and conduct trainings. - Enable stakeholders to use data insights. - Improve system usability (e.g.: gather requirements, support needs) for stakeholders.

This is how you'll win us over

Education: A master’s degree in IT, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Experience & Skills:

  • Many years of experience in IT system architecture, material data management, Artificial Intelligence and emerging Agentic AI paradigms in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in database design (e.g. Snowflake, AWS), system integration, and digital process optimization.
  • Strong agile foundation incl. SCRUM Master, Agile Coach or other agile certification.
  • Hands‑on experience with supply chain management systems, ERP and PDM platforms, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Ability to lead with expertise and collaborate across functions, actively contributing to Siemens’ and SCM PD’s digital transformation agenda across a globally connected organization.
  • Clear, impactful communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
