A leading professional services firm in Penticton is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Domestic Tax team. This role involves coaching team members, establishing client relationships, and advising on complex tax matters. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Canadian tax planning and compliance, along with the CPA Canada In‑Depth Tax Course or a Masters in Taxation. The firm offers competitive compensation of $72,500–$100,000, along with perks like profit sharing, flexible workdays, and a supportive work culture.
As a Tax Manager in our Domestic Tax team, you’ll work with a wide variety of clients and build your experience in new industries. Working with some of Canada’s top gurus in Tax, a career in tax at Doane Grant Thornton is an opportunity to create your unique career journey.
Joining our robust team of over 400 tax professionals means you’ll collaborate with colleagues across service lines such as Advisory and Specialty Tax, which will broaden your perspective and help you solve client problems, delivering personalized solutions.
You know those big cities that still feel like small towns? Where everyone’s friendly and helps each other out? That’s like Doane Grant Thornton. Except here we’re all professionals and there isn’t a mayor or a general store. What we’re trying to say is that we’re a large and growing professional services firm that still feels like a community. We employ over 3000 people across Canada, and we truly care about our colleagues, our clients and the communities where we work and live. That’s what’s most important to us. We’re building a thriving organization that’s purpose driven and still want to remember what your favourite milkshake flavour is.
You’ll talk with the CFO from an agricultural client, and the Tax Partner, will challenge your thinking as you work through uncovering client pain points and providing tax solutions. You’ll share your feedback with your coachees ensuring they have what they need to complete their files and feel supported. When you get a call from the corporate accountant at a national retail client, a quick Teams check‑in with Dave from Indirect Tax, and you’re on to planning for tomorrow’s client meeting. But not before a quick stop at the fully stocked fridge for a flavoured sparkling water.
“My colleagues have fostered an inclusive and collaborative work culture that I enjoy coming to everyday. Not only that, the leaders I work with have helped me focus in on an area of tax that I’m most passionate about and supported me in reaching opportunities at a very early stage in my career.” -Roshni L., Tax Manager.

At Doane Grant Thornton, we believe compensation should reflect more than just market data—it should reflect you. We’re serious about compensation. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $72,500–$100,000 in Penticton. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
