A local distribution company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations in Abbotsford, BC. Responsibilities include managing inventory, providing customer service, and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and relevant experience. - Identify customers’ needs.
- Promote sales to existing clients.
- Recommend products or services to customers.
- Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services.
- Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
- Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Direct the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
- Plan and manage the facility’s operations budget.
- Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal.
- Organize and maintain inventory.
- Co‑ordinate work activities with other departments.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Language: English.
- Location: On site. Work must be completed at the physical location.
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada.
- Other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.
