A leading engineering firm is seeking a Seismic & Dynamics Engineer to evaluate reactor enclosure system responses using dynamic analysis and stress criteria. Candidates must have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years experience in parts analysis. Responsibilities include creating ANSYS models, engaging with customers, and delivering clear analysis documentation. This remote position requires effective time management and communication skills.
Seismic & Dynamics Engineer
Number of Openings: 1
Location: Remote
Duration: 18-month max; 6 months (40 hours per week not guaranteed)
Shift: 5 days 8 hours
Expected Start Date: 12/31/25
This position will evaluate the reactor enclosure system (RES) response to various design and operational changes. The RES components are typically modeled in ANSYS with time-based inputs to predict the response of the system. All work complies with GE’s quality plan which includes specific verification practices.
