Our ads team builds new products to establish product-market fit and scale these solutions, including industry-specific and newer formats gaining demand in the ads industry.

The team develops ad formats that deliver strong user experiences aligned with advertisers' marketing goals. Comprising frontend, backend, and mobile engineers, we are seeking a skilled frontend engineer with a product-focused mindset to join the New Ad Formats team.

The Ads Formats Organization aims to enhance our successful ad formats by improving user experiences and meeting advertisers' objectives. Our focus areas include:

• Building new ad formats with engaging functionality for advertisers
• Enabling formats across various surfaces and placements
• Establishing product-market fit
• Iterating and pivoting based on feedback and needs
• Building infrastructure to accelerate development

What We’re Working On :

• Developing new ad formats from prototyping to launch, iterating towards product-market fit.
• Improving the technical foundations for ad formats.

What We Are Looking For :

• Proficiency in frontend engineering with at least X years of experience in software development.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering.
• Willingness to develop data-intensive, responsive, and fault-tolerant apps within smartphone constraints.
• Openness to exploring innovative software approaches.
• Ability to work full stack when necessary, including backend modifications.

Technologies used on the team include :

• Languages: Typescript, Go, Python

Responsibilities :

• Building ad experiences and patterns for Reddit’s web pages to improve ad performance and functionality.
• Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to implement innovative solutions.
• Engaging in all development phases: design, development, QA, experimentation, analysis, and deployment.
