As a Security Supervisor, you will be leading a team of guards, ensuring that security operations run smoothly and providing exceptional customer service. You will work with people from all shifts in a dynamic environment.

• Hourly wage of $20.10 + comprehensive benefits

• Part-time permanent position Tuesday-Thursday 1630-2030 and Saturday 1000-1700 (must be able to work all shifts)

• Provide visible leadership and maintain a professional security presence throughout the site.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and stressful situations.
• Supervise and support Security Guards, ensuring compliance with site procedures and standards.
• Manage access control, including operating metal detection gates and welcoming visitors.
• Oversee use of security systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels.
• Collaborate with library staff, Community Safety Hosts, and Crisis Workers to address issues, resolve conflicts, and promote a safe environment.
• Ensure completion of opening/closing procedures, including securing doors, elevators, and alarm systems.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and visitor/contractor records.
• Provide excellent customer service, offering assistance and directions to the public

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• This supervisor position is a key step, but certainly not the last.
• Excellent leadership skills
• First aid certification an asset
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• Proven experience in security or supervisory roles
• Strong skills in conflict de-escalation, trauma-informed safety practises, anti-racism, and cultural awareness
• Positive attitude, and strong customer service skills
