Great! If you’re referred, have them submit your name through Workday first. Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Products & Technology team in Toronto in the role of Application Support Analyst. You will be part of a growing product development team that delivers new and existing products and services within the Pensions group.

Application Support Analyst is a great career choice for anyone who enjoys thinking analytically and digging for evidence to answer questions and solve problems. If you’re the kind of person who wants to find the answer whenever you hear an interesting question, this position will be right up your alley.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
  • Contribute to the identification and escalation of gaps within the business requirements and testing scenarios that could impact testing
  • Anticipate issues and make recommendations to mitigate risks; support ad-hoc analysis to identify the root cause of issues and resolve issues in a timely manner ensuring minimal disruption to stakeholders
  • Extracting data from various source systems and data stores
  • Participate in activities related to year‑end system updates
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business
  • Understanding and communicating financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with multiple levels of clients, team, and partners
  • Collaborating with IT and Business staff to recommend and develop solutions for identified business requirements and needs
To succeed in this role, you have:
  • Post‑secondary education / accreditation in job related field or related experience
  • Good understanding of Pension Administration is preferred
  • A track record of “thinking outside the box” and looking at a challenge through multiple lenses
  • Experience of applying innovative solutions and working with business stakeholders to challenge the status quo, deliver solutions that tackle business problems and meet business requirements
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Hands‑on experience with application performance monitoring (APM) and logging tools
  • Proven ability to configure dashboards, set up monitors/alerts, and analyze metrics to ensure application stability and performance
  • Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Experience in troubleshooting database connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and executing data management tasks.
  • Practical experience supporting applications deployed in cloud environments like GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Azure.
  • Experience navigating and utilizing CI/CD platforms like GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps to understand build and release pipelines.
  • Experience creating scripts to parse logs, query APIs, or manage application configurations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the full application lifecycle and how different technology stacks interact.

We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. In delivering on our pension promise, keeping us connected to our work and each other, our flexible hybrid work guideline requires teams to come in to the office 1+ days per week.

As one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, our people‑first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities where we live and work — and the members we proudly serve.

From hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier‑free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
