Position Description: This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) and / or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

We are Canadas largest independent information technology services firm and after 40 years were still growing! We have a challenging career opportunity for a Sr. SQL PLSQL Developer to work for our clients across our Banking and Wealth 360 Digital Wealth Product.

• Database Development: Develop optimize and maintain Oracle SQL and PL / SQL code including stored procedures functions and packages. Translates business needs into long-term data architecture solutions.
• Migration: Experience in Migration of data as part of product upgrades & across Applications. Experience onboarding new clients from a data migration perspective.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks optimize query performance and implement best practices for database tuning.
• Complex Problem Solving: Analyze troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Data Modeling: Design and refactor data models to support business requirements and improve system efficiency.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for database structures processes and best practices. Analyze and document existing PL / SQL code
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers providing technical leadership and support in analyzing complex problems and refactoring data models.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers analysts and project managers to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of database systems.
• Optimization: Evaluates reusability of current data for separate analyses. Conducts data sheering to rid the system of old unused or duplicate data. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.

• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Strong Data Analysis skills
• 8-10 years experience in Oracle 12c / 19c
• 8-10 years experience with Oracle database SQL and PL / SQL programming.
• Expert in SQL performance tuning.
• Expert in Data migration techniques; Migration of data for product upgrades & across Applications
• Experience in onboarding of new clients from a data migration perspective
• Strong data modeling skills including designing and refactoring data models.
• Experience in rewriting and optimizing complex stored procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex database issues.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication shills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Knowledgeable in the Wealth Management domain with experience in Wealth 360 Digitial Wealth Platform preferred
• Knowledge of Postgres 3 to 4 years of experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies applications and systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical sessions
• Can communicate in both technical and business terms
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to manage geographically distributed development teams
• Knowledge of Oracle Performance Tuning is an asset
• Working experience in Toad / SQL Developer / Oracle DataModeler / Erwin
• Exposure to containers like liquibase
• Ability to extract matrix / progress / milestones from JIRA or other collaboration tools for stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Oracle development tools and performance tuning utilities.
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications is an asset
