Responsibilities

• Establish the structural framework based on the engineer’s or senior technician’s concept;
• Perform complete 3D modeling in Revit of reinforced concrete, steel, or wood structures under the supervision of the engineer or senior technician;
• Participate in the development of structural details;
• Produce drawings and plans;
• Conduct manual or laser scanner surveys of existing buildings and create models;
• Provide technical assistance during construction work;
• Potentially participate in site supervision based on your interests;
• Perform 3D clash detection exercises between various design models;
• Model and fully integrate the BIM process on the BIM360 platform;
• Comply with rules and procedures that ensure employee health and safety and environmental protection, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.

Qualifications

• A vocational diploma (DEP) in building drafting, college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering or architecture, or equivalent training and experience;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field;
• Knowledge of Revit software;
• Relevant experience in building and/or industrial structural drafting;
• Experience in a consulting engineering firm (an asset);
• Interest in new 3D technologies and the BIM process.
