About The Role
As ATB’s next Financial Specialist, reporting to the Director, Strategy & Insights, you will be a pivotal member of the Business Finance team. You will be responsible for key analysis and modelling that drive a significant revenue source for Business. In addition to analysis supporting financial reporting and forecasting, you will have a significant role in partnering with the Business to aid in achievement of financial goals.

Accountabilities
Financial Analysis And Insight Generation
- Conduct in-depth data investigation, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis to provide actionable insights that inform senior management's strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning processes.
- Perform detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Financial Reporting And Performance Management
- Collaborate with senior team members to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans.
Data Analysis And Process Improvement
- Leverage your expertise in data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from large and complex datasets.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills (ability to devise creative, workable solutions within established policies).
Strategic Support
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and guidance to partners across the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate financial and non-financial analytics into story and present ideas in insightful and engaging ways.
- Ability to network and cultivate productive working relationships across all levels within the organization.
Skills, Experience & Requirements

Education And Experience
- University Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- A professional designation, including CPA, CFA, MBA is preferred
- Accounting experience in data management, journal entries, financial reconciliations, profit and cost center management, reporting, data visualizations and presentations is an asset
- Experience using Big Query, Tableau, Google Sheets and SAP is an asset
- Experience in a business partner role would be preferred
