Job Description As a key member of the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO the Vice President Operations is a strategic leader responsible for ensuring organizational efficiency financial sustainability and cross-functional alignment. This role oversees day-to-day operations financial planning and oversight internal systems and team workflowsconnecting strategy to execution. With a strong focus on building scalable systems optimizing processes and enabling data-driven decisions the VP Operations plays a critical role in driving performance aligning resources and empowering teams to deliver impact.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
Financial Leadership
Oversee all financial planning budgeting forecasting and reporting functions.
Lead annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning in alignment with strategic priorities.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
Oversee asset management and capital planning.
Provide actionable financial insights and scenario modelling to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards audit requirements tax filings and regulatory obligations.
Data Strategy & Management
Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
Oversee data governance quality analytics infrastructure and system integration to ensure reliable and accessible information.
Collaborate across departments to enhance data visibility enable metrics-driven performance and ensure effective reporting tools and dashboards are in place.
OperationsManagement
Lead operations including systems vendor management procurement facilities IT and admin policies.
Build scalable infrastructure and drive process improvements for efficiency and growth.
Partner across teams to implement strategic initiatives and operational projects.
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial and operational matters.
Lead and develop high-performing teams across finance data and operations functions.
Foster a culture of accountability transparency and continuous improvement.
Experience :
Advanced degree strongly preferred (e.g. MBA CPA CFA or equivalent)
10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations finance and / or data management.
Demonstrated success in driving operational strategy and execution in a high-growth multi-stakeholder environment.
Proven ability to lead and integrate cross-functional teams across complex organizational systems.
Deep understanding of operational data systems reporting and business intelligence tools.
Exceptional communication strategic thinking and analytical skills to support sound decision-making.
Mission-oriented adaptable and effective in navigating ambiguity within fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have
Experience in the nonprofit innovation sustainability or social impact sectors.
Familiarity with grants management and / or blended capital models.
Background in change management or scaling organizations.
