A healthcare organization in Ontario is seeking a Recreational Therapist to be part of a dynamic inter-professional team. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing recreation therapy programs to optimize patient care. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Recreation or related field and be a member of Therapeutic Recreation Ontario. The position offers a collaborative environment and emphasizes a commitment to patient-centered care.
The Recreational Therapist works independently and as part of the inter-professional health care team and is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of recreation therapy and leisure counseling. The main duty of the Recreational Therapist is to assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate a variety of program activities, achieving optimal care for the patient prior to admission, while in the program and following discharge. Must be able to collaborate with other disciplines to provide all services.
