SCOPE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Manager, Policy & Advocacy, the Campaign Specialist is responsible for leading Oxfam’s advocacy campaigns and outreach actions to advance Oxfam Canada’s influencing priorities. As the lead campaigner, the Specialist will work closely with policy colleagues to conceptualize, design and deliver campaign strategies and actions.
The Campaigns Specialist will work in close collaboration with other Oxfam Canada staff to grow our base of supporters and expand our partnerships with community-based organizations and movements to advance our advocacy and campaign goals. As a passionate organizer, the Campaigns Specialist will be responsible for developing our campaign strategies and implementing them, developing creative and dynamic events and activities, both in person and online, that engage new and existing supporters, as well as building relationships with allies for joint advocacy and outreach events.
The Campaigns Specialist is a people person who enjoys making connections and building support for women’s rights issues. They have the know-how and desire to develop digital engagement strategies, do in-person community organizing, and build alliances with grassroots activists and organizations.
