THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Project Manager to advance North American Assortment Capabilities and strengthen data‑driven merchandising at Couche‑Tard / Circle K. In this role, you will manage the design, implementation, and adoption of assortment planning tools and processes, enabling smarter product mix and space decisions across our network. You will partner closely with Global Tech, Data & Analytics, Merchandising, and Business Unit teams to deliver projects on time, ensure alignment, and embed new capabilities into everyday merchandising practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives on collaboration, and has a proven ability to manage complex projects while keeping stakeholders engaged and focused on business outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Manage assortment projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, resourcing, risk management, and progress tracking.
  • Act as project lead and liaison between Global Tech, Data & Analytics, and Merchandising teams to design and implement assortment planning tools and data‑driven processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, working closely with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and ensure solutions meet merchandising and operational goals.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration, engaging Business Unit leaders, Category Managers, and Store Operations to drive adoption of assortment tools and ways of working.
  • Support testing and validation of new assortment approaches, capturing learnings and integrating improvements into processes and systems.
  • Develop project updates and executive‑ready presentations, communicating progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with Global Merchandising Excellence team to integrate new assortment tools and practices into Category Management and Merchandising Analytics training programs.
  • Champion a data‑driven mindset, embedding assortment analytics into decision‑making processes across the merchandising community.
  • Coordinate with the broader Merchandising Capabilities team (Pricing, Promotions, Space, and Analytics) to ensure consistency and integration of capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in CPG, retail merchandising, or strategy consulting.
  • Knowledge and skills:
    • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, track progress, and deliver results under tight timelines.
    • Familiarity with assortment planning, product mix optimization, and space planning concepts in a multi‑unit retail environment.
    • Ability to deal well with ambiguity, complexity, change and pace. Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing amongst them.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to synthesize and simplify complex ideas into compelling presentations.
    • Analytical mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop strategic frameworks and executional approaches.
    • Category Management and Project Management (Scrum) experience a plus.
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Ability to travel up to 10% (including international); valid passport required.
    • Flexibility around working hours required, working with teams across time zones.
  • Language skills: Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
