A local school district in Fraser Valley is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to manage installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Candidates must have a Grade 12 diploma and a BC Trades Qualification in Electrical, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The position offers a wage of $36.95 per hour and is temporary until August 14, 2026. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Under the direction of the Foreman—Electrical or Foreman—Electronics, the Journeyman Electrician is responsible for functions involving the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical services, audiovisual equipment, security systems, computer systems, fire alarms, personal address systems, telephone systems, and electronic equipment in district facilities.
This position performs a variety of technical/manual tasks under limited supervision and in accordance with clearly established policies, procedures, regulations and codes. Judgment is exercised in handling new assignments and determining new work methods.
Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, supplemented by a current British Columbia or Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Electrical. A minimum of 3 years of recent trades related experience. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License. Incumbents also require the following:
This position is based out of our Facilities building at 31759 King Road and is a temporary vacancy until August 14, 2026. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The wage for this unionized position is $36.95 per hour. This vacancy will remain open until filled.
