Job summary
A leading manufacturing company in Burlington, Canada, is seeking a Licensed Red Seal Industrial Millwright to oversee maintenance operations. The role involves planning and scheduling maintenance duties to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience maintaining mechanical equipment and strong troubleshooting skills. Day and night shifts are available.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience maintaining mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and analyze blueprints and drawings.
- Experience with steel tubing is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance of production equipment with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Plan and schedule maintenance duties to reduce downtime.
- Ensure equipment reliability and improve maintenance processes.
- Advise plant management of major equipment problems.
Skills
Education
- DAY SHIFT (straight shift) - 6 : 00am to 2 : 00pm OR NIGHT SHIFT (straight shift) : 10 : 00pm to 6 : 00am
- Oversee maintenance of production equipment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Plan and schedule maintenance duties to reduce downtime
- Ensuring equipment reliability and continuously improving maintenance processes
- Oversee maintenance and repair of all equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure optimal operation
- Handle repairs, installations, and upgrades in compliance with safety regulations
- Advise plant management of any major equipment problems
- Develop and execute PM schedules to minimize downtime and prolong equipment life
- Licensed Red Seal Industrial Millwright
- 5 yrs+ experience maintaining mechanical equipment
- Any experience with steel tubing an asset but not required
- Ability to read and analyze blueprints, drawings
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Computer literate
