- Examine and diagnose vehicles
- Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor
- Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor
- Plan work in cooperation with the shop foreman
- Provide labor estimates to the service advisor
- Monitor repair times and update the service advisor
- Adhere to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- Complete documentation for client repairs
- Assist in mentoring technician trainees
- Attend company and factory training sessions
- Stay current with factory technical bulletins
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent combination
- Valid Driver's License (must be insurable)
- $25 - $40 hourly, based on experience
