Qualifications

• Proven track record of scoping and building medium to large features for distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in code reviews and troubleshooting design or performance issues.
• Solid understanding of common design patterns, relational databases (SQL), and experience working with backend and frontend development frameworks.
• Comfortable with on-call duties and system maintenance.
• Effective at communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The drive to help improve team documentation, champion operational excellence, and make meaningful improvements to the codebase.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver delightful web and mobile experiences.
• Ship impactful projects and solve interesting problems using cutting-edge technology.
• Work across the entire tech stack to build, test, deploy, and monitor high-quality software.

Skills

Scope and build medium to large features for distributed systems

Code reviews and troubleshooting

Common design patterns and relational databases (SQL)

On-call duties and system maintenance

Effective communication with stakeholders

Experience with React or React Native

Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, and/or Python

Working knowledge of GraphQL and Kafka
