Job summary
A prominent technology firm in Canada is seeking a Senior Datacenter Technician for a contract position. The role requires extensive experience in managing data center operations, including hardware and network management. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills and a track record of technical troubleshooting. The position offers a contract rate of $50-60/hr with potential for permanent placement. Night and weekend shifts may be required.

- 5-10 years of proven record in managing data center operations.
- Experience with server hardware and network infrastructure.
- Background in installation and maintenance of data center equipment.
Skills
We are looking for a Senior Datacenter Technician with experience in managing Datacenter Operations.
Employment Type : 6 months contract to perm
Location : Scarborough and Barrie locations with night shifts and weekend shifts
Contract Rate : $50- $60 / hr Incorporated
Must Have Skills / Qualifications :
- 5-10 yrs of proven track record in successfully designing, implementing, and managing data center operations
- 5-10 yrs of experience working with server hardware, network infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions.
- 5-10 yrs experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center equipment and software, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and backup systems
- Strong leadership abilities, managing teams of technicians and engineers
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and trouble shooting complex technical issues
