Job summary

A healthcare organization in Nova Scotia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing and distributing medication, coordinating pharmacy functions, and training new staff. Candidates should have a Pharmacy Technician Course Certificate or an equivalent Diploma. Fresh diploma graduates are welcome to apply. A busy work environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Possess a Pharmacy Technician Course Certificate issued by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore, or an equivalent Diploma from a recognised Polytechnic in Pharmaceutical Science.
• Fresh Diploma candidates from Pharmaceutical Science are welcome to apply.
• Relevant working experience in Healthcare would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute drugs to patients and treatment rooms under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Co-ordinate Pharmacy functions and services daily.
• Assist in the training of new pharmacy staff and guide Pharmacy Assistants.

Job description

Pharmacy Technicians shall assist Pharmacists in all aspects of the Pharmacy’s daily operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute drugs to patients, treatment rooms and other departments, under the supervision of the Pharmacist
• Co‑ordinate Pharmacy functions and services daily, including billing/administrative documentation, general housekeeping, inventory management and equipment maintenance
• Assist in the training of new pharmacy staff and guide/ supervise Pharmacy Assistants in their duties and responsibilities
• Participate in department projects and activities as assigned

Job Requirements

• Possess a Pharmacy Technician Course Certificate issued by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore, or an equivalent Diploma from a recognised Polytechnic in Pharmaceutical Science
• Fresh Diploma candidate from Pharmaceutical Science are welcome to apply
