Peter Taylor Professorship in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Queen’s University invites applications for the Peter Taylor Professorship at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Associate Professor (tenured) in any area of the Mathematical Sciences, with a preferred starting date of July 1, 2026.QualificationsAccomplished mathematicians in any area of the mathematical sciences are invited to apply. The main criteria for selection are research and teaching excellence. Qualified candidates will have a proven record of internationally recognized excellence in research, and they will also have demonstrated leadership in innovative teaching in mathematics and/or mathematical outreach and student mentoring. The successful candidate will also be expected to make contributions through service to the Department, the Faculty, the University, and/or the broader community.Candidates must be eligible for an appointment to the position of Assistant Professor (have a PhD or equivalent degree completed at the start date of the appointment), but applications are being accepted for candidates up to and including the level of Associate Professor. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
