Position Summary: Duties may include: preparation for classes, preparation of written and audiovisual materials, teaching, leading discussions, preparing and grading exams and papers, consulting with students, conducting field trips, travel (exclusive of normal travel to and from the primary work site), and conferring with the instructor as required.
- Hold Guaranteed Minimum Funding (GMF).
- Be a student in the PhD Education program.
- Experience teaching high school mathematics; experience with other levels is a bonus.
- Familiarity with non-traditional pedagogies for mathematics teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with course planning.
- Experience in providing feedback on assessments.
- Interest in de/colonizing education and teaching and learning for, through, and about social justice.
- Interest in teaching and co‑teaching.
- Interest and experience in assessment and evaluation.
- Familiarity with work with (or ease of learning) Word, Excel, OneNote, and UR Courses.
Profile: As per CUPE 2419 Salary Range. Status: Term. Work Hours: Maximum of 120 hours for the term: class meeting times (approx. 39 hours) plus remaining hours (approx. 80 hours) negotiated with the supervising instructor.
Delivery: In person. Course Dates and Time: Tuesday/Thursday – 10:00–11:15 am. Duration: January 6 – April 29 2025 (Term/Temporary).
