The location in Montreal ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Coordinator, Logistics - Wood Products. This job is full-time permanent.

Your challenges

In addition to establishing shipping plans for the mills and loading yards under your responsibility, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Allocate orders to the various carriers on a daily basis with a view to profitability;
  • Ensure suppliers meet order delivery deadlines;
  • Ensure the required capacity to ship orders and meet invoicing targets;
  • Supply our distribution centers in such a way as to optimize transportation costs and inventory levels while maintaining an adequate level of customer service;
  • Reconcile the inventories of our distribution centers;
  • Provide operational support to mills and distribution centers;
  • Support the sales team by answering its questions;
  • Monitor carriers to ensure compliance with corporate standards;
  • Manage the fleet of rail cars in transit (diversion, rebill, overweight etc.);
  • Track our rail cars in transit using the QTS tracking system;
  • Negotiate on a daily basis with truckers (spot market).

Reporting to the Supervisor, Logistics Operations, you will be a member of a dynamic team drawing on your multiple skills. You will work with a number of departments and develop ways to improve the service for this business segment.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics operations management or production management or diploma of collegial studies in transportation;
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to serve as liaison for multiple levels of stakeholders;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a constantly changing sales environment;
