We are actively expanding our portfolio with a strong emphasis on acquisitions, master planning, and strategic growth, including the development of hospitality assets in key North American markets and mixed-use master-planned communities.
Position Overview
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst / Associate to support our Acquisitions and Development teams. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and executing real estate investment opportunities to expand our development pipeline in North America, focusing on mixed-use developments, hotels, and leisure assets. Responsibilities include financial analysis, due diligence, project management, and market research. The position requires significant travel across Canada and the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisitions
- Conduct market research and financial analysis for potential real estate acquisitions across North America.
- Analyze local real estate markets for trends, zoning, and development potential.
- Compile and analyze sales data to assess market value and support pricing decisions.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities, ensuring follow-up and documentation.
- Build financial models, including underwriting for various development projects.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for leadership and investment committees.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts, including legal, financial, and operational assessments.
- Engage with brokers, owners, and stakeholders to evaluate potential acquisitions.
- Search property databases (CoStar, Crexi, MLS, etc.) and public records for land acquisition opportunities.
Development
- Support development project execution, including feasibility studies and proforma modeling.
- Collaborate with architects, planners, and consultants on master planning and site development.
- Assist in preparing budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Monitor project performance and report on milestones.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure project alignment with financial and strategic goals.
- Help maintain or develop partnership opportunities within master-planned communities.
- Assist in structuring creative capital solutions, including joint ventures and public-private partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2-5 years in private equity, finance, real estate finance, or large-scale development, with exposure to hospitality or resort projects preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with due diligence, legal documentation, and transaction structuring.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and travel within the US and Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of hospitality and resort industry trends.
- Familiarity with zoning, entitlements, and permitting processes.
- Experience with feasibility studies and financial structuring.
- Experience using property databases like CoStar, Crexi, LoopNet, MLS.
- Interest in the ski and health & wellness industries.
