Job summary
A leading audiovisual company based in Calgary, Canada, is seeking a candidate to perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects. This includes pulling cable, installing connectors, and mounting projects. A valid driver's license, ability to lift heavy objects, and knowledge of AV systems are required. Candidates must also be capable of reading schematics and working independently, ensuring deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and clean Driver's Abstract.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 20 feet.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation tasks for audiovisual projects.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and blueprints.
- Use hand and power tools effectively.
Skills
Education
Perform basic installation tasks for audiovisual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication.
- Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks
- Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring
- Travel to various job sites required
- Other duties assigned as needed
- Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
- Basic computer knowledge
- Minor programming capability (AMX/Creston) – changes and troubleshooting
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards
