Overview

Do you have a minimum of 3 seasons of paid Tax Preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns prepared per year? If you're a tax professional, we need your expertise to help our customers complete their taxes using TurboTax. You will contribute to our goal of "Powering Prosperity Around the World" by providing expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing our brand by delighting customers and empowering them in tax preparation.

Job Requirements: What you'll bring

• Minimum of 3 seasons of paid Tax Preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Experience in tax preparation within a tax practice or retail setting.
• A college degree is a plus, especially in business, finance, accounting, or tax.
• Knowledge of tax laws, concepts, and familiarity with Form 1040 and schedules.
• PTIN required.
• Motivation to expand expertise and obtain a tax credential or certification; Intuit offers a program to obtain your EA.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize and build confidence.
• Ability to work within a team to prepare accurate tax returns promptly.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly find answers using online resources.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Persistence and determination.

How you will lead

• This is a seasonal position assisting customers in preparing their own returns or fully preparing customer tax returns.
• Compiling and preparing tax returns for TurboTax customers.
• Gathering, organizing, and accurately entering customer data into federal and state tax returns for review.
• Communicating directly with customers as needed.
• Coordinating customer meetings and follow-ups.
• Updating credentialed tax experts on assigned customers.
• Helping customers with product/software inquiries, tax questions, and calculations.
• Applying defined practices, procedures, and policies to troubleshoot and resolve product and tax support inquiries.
• Interacting with customers using strong written and verbal skills combined with deep customer empathy.
