Job summary
A youth support organization is seeking dedicated staff members to positively impact the lives of youth. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, crisis intervention, and aiding in personal development through various support programs. Candidates should possess a high school diploma and relevant experience in social services. The position requires strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.

- Mental health intervention training is a plus.

Evolving Youth Care has been providing a full spectrum of services to children and youth since 1998. Our homes are located throughout Ottawa and the surrounding areas and serve males and females.

Evolving Youth Care is looking for staff team members who demonstrate positive leadership skills and know how to set and maintain professional boundaries with clients. This position will include taking responsibility for the youths’ safety and security and supporting them in the areas of Individual/Group Therapy, Life Skills and Social Skills and assisting with community-based services, including, medical, personal, recreational, and educational needs.
- Housekeeping and cooking
- Ensuring safety of youth in your care
- Provide suicide and crisis intervention
- Resolve conflict situations
- Assist with daily paperwork, filing and organization
Ideally, you possess a high school diploma along with one of the following:
- Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW/CYC) Diploma
- Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma
- Community Justice Worker (CJW)
- Police Foundations (PF)
Similar experience working in Social Services will also be considered.
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Child Welfare Check
- Valid G Driver's License
- Medical Exam
- Immunization Records
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) will be considered an asset.
