Nuclear Safety and Licensing Procedure Writer and Analyst

• Location: On site in Romania
• Contract duration: 10 months
• Pay rate: $175.00-$210.00 per hour/ CAD
• Start date: 1^st July 2025

Job overview:

The Nuclear Safety procedure developer and analyst will support the refurbishment project by supporting the execution of safety analysis and/or aiding in the development of operational procedures and documentation related to core surveillance and testing.

You will also work closely with the project team and the station to ensure that the work conducted in support of the refurbishment project adheres to its safety, licensing, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Interface with the station Operations, Reactor Physics, Nuclear Safety, Licensing, and document control Teams.
• Develop and support the development of procedures for refurbishment activities including core surveillance, testing, and restart.
• Support execution of deterministic safety analysis.
• Ensure successful project delivery on assigned tasks.
• Ensure work and deliverables meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate inputs, reviews, and approvals from key stakeholders.
• Establish, maintain, and adhere to the project schedule.
• Identify and communicate work progress.
• Complete all assigned project reports and keep management fully briefed on the status of the work.
• Anticipate challenges and take proactive mitigating actions.
• Understand the impact of the work on the station’s safety and licensing basis.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a results-driven professional with the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Reactor Physics or related areas.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Nuclear Regulations and Licensing basis.
• Knowledge of SNN/CNE management system and processes is preferred.
• Previous experience in a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), preferably CANDU NPP.
• Proven proficiency in technical writing.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask on multiple assignments.
• Highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong decision-making skills, especially when dealing with complex problems with multiple solutions.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
